SELF ADMINISTERED RATING SCALES

It is not advisable to self-diagnose any psychiatric problem by looking up symptoms of a disorder or filling out unscientific checklists.  Below are links to PDF files of accepted, scientifically valid screening questionnaires. It is extremely important to emphasize these self-administered rating scales are only meant to screen for the possibility of having an actual disorder.  A definitive diagnosis can only be made by a qualified mental health professional.  You may want to print out one or more of the rating scales and bring them to your appointment to discuss the results and how they may guide your treatment.
